"Pieces of a Dream"
In honor of a stallion who became my hero, I’ll never forget watching American Pharoah win the “Front Runner (Grade 1) Classic” at Santa Anita Park on September 27, 2014. The following year was even more electrifying as he swept the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont, the Triple Crown, and the Breeders’ Cup Classic. Slowly, the pieces of a dream began falling into place, finally coming together in the spring of 2021.
Without telling me, my business agent, Kent Hersman, arranged a visit to Coolmore’s Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky, where I had the chance to spend time with American Pharoah himself. After that moment, I knew I wanted to build something meaningful — and that’s when I founded Taylor Thoroughbred, LLC, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Back in 2015, during a trip to Las Vegas, I bought a painting at Caesars Palace by Michael Flohr called Win at Belmont. It still hangs in my office today.
A colleague from California, knowing how much American Pharoah means to me, shared this video. I hope everyone who watches it feels the same sense of motion, music, and greatness that I do. I was blessed to own a young colt sired by Cairo Prince, American Pharoah’s half‑brother.
